Ryan Fox secured the biggest victory of his career after claiming The 154th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, delivering a landmark major title for both the New Zealander and Srixon.
Fox produced a composed display to lift the Claret Jug, carding a final total of 10-under-par after closing with a birdie on the 72nd hole. The victory follows a record-equalling third-round 62 that propelled him into contention before he held his nerve on Sunday to claim his first major championship.
