Leading UK golf and leisure operator BGL is encouraging more families to discover golf this summer with the launch of a new Summer Pass designed to make the sport more accessible, engaging and affordable during the school holidays.
Available across five of BGL’s family golf venues, the six-week pass combines unlimited adventure golf, one redeemable driving range experience and 30% off food and drink through the duration of the pass, giving families every reason to return throughout the summer and experience golf in a fun, relaxed environment.
While adventure golf remains a popular family activity in its own right, BGL believes it can also play an important role in introducing children to the wider game, helping build confidence before progressing to the driving range and, ultimately, the golf course.
The Summer Pass is available at Abbey Hill Golf Centre (Milton Keynes), Hoebridge Golf Centre (Woking), Ramsdale Park Golf Centre (Nottingham), Sidcup Family Golf (Kent) and GolfPlex (Bracknell), with the initiative forming part of BGL’s wider commitment to making golf more welcoming for families and newcomers alike.
Stephen Brown, Chief Operating Officer of BGL, said: “Golf has never had a greater opportunity to welcome new players, but for many families the first step can still feel intimidating. We believe adventure golf provides a natural, enjoyable introduction to the sport, creating positive experiences that can spark a lifelong interest in golf.

“By combining unlimited adventure golf with a driving range experience, we’re encouraging families to take that next step together in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Whether children are picking up a club for the very first time or parents are rediscovering the game alongside them, we want to make golf as accessible and enjoyable as possible.
“At BGL, we’re passionate about creating exceptional spaces to play and be together. Our venues are designed to bring families together through shared experiences, and we hope the Summer Pass encourages many more people to discover everything golf has to offer this summer.”
Alongside helping families discover golf, the Summer Pass has also been designed to encourage repeat visits throughout the school holidays, allowing guests to make the most of everything BGL’s golf centres have to offer. In addition to unlimited adventure golf and a driving range experience, pass holders receive 30% off food and drink for the duration of their pass, making it easier for families to spend quality time together before or after a game.

The initiative also supports BGL’s ‘We Save, You Save’ campaign, with the business passing Government VAT savings directly back to customers to help make active family experiences more affordable during the summer holidays.
Recent research has highlighted the growing pressures facing families during the school break, with rising activity costs and increasing concerns around children’s screen time. Through the Summer Pass, BGL hopes to encourage more families to choose active, shared experiences that bring people together while providing an accessible introduction to golf.
