Peter Millar extends relationship with Ryder Cup Europe

Peter Millar, a leader in the luxury apparel market, has announced that it has extended its relationship with Ryder Cup Europe to continue as an Official Licensee. Following its success in 2012 and 2014, Peter Millar will produce collections for The 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine National Golf Club, Chaska, Minnesota and The 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National, Paris.

Peter Millar’s collection will feature both the Ryder Cup Shield and the Trophy logo across its garments, the Trophy logo only being offered to Licensees for use as part of premium Ryder Cup collections. Peter Millar’s exclusive offerings for its customers will feature luxurious knit shirts and sweaters, as well as performance polos, layering garments and outerwear from the Crown Sport collection. The renewed license agreement will allow Peter Millar to showcase both its regular fit garments, as well as the new ‘Tailored Fit’ collection more suited to the European market.

“We’re thrilled to extend this agreement with Ryder Cup Europe for the next two Ryder Cup matches, as The Ryder Cup is one of the biggest events in sport.” said Mark Hilton, European Golf Sales Director at Peter Millar UK Ltd. “This agreement shows how highly the Peter Millar brand is now regarded in Europe and is in addition to our ongoing partnership with The PGAs of Europe. We’re sure that customers from across the globe will continue to enjoy Peter Millar products featuring the Ryder Cup logos.”

Director of Ryder Cup Europe, Richard Hills, said: “Ryder Cup Europe is delighted to have renewed its Official Licensee relationship with Peter Millar, following on from its successes in both the 2012 and the 2014 editions. Peter Millar was a valued part of our Licensee programme, and their garments also proved very popular with Ryder Cup fans at The 2014 Ryder Cup in Gleneagles, Scotland.”
