MAJOR SUCCESS FOR SOFTSPIKES AS WORLD NO.1 WINS SECOND GREEN JACKET WEARING TOUR FLEX PRO

TOUR FLEX PRO

Softspikes® congratulates the World No.1 on winning a second Masters following a dominant display of golf on the back nine on Sunday wearing his trusted Tour Flex Pro spikes in his Nike Air Zoom TW20 golf shoes. Two of the players tied for 3rd were also wearing Tour Flex Pro and all of the top 11 were equipped with Softspikes.

Starting the final round with a 1-shot lead, the World No.1 moved into another gear after he nearly holed his second shot on the par 4 9th hole. Further birdies at holes 10, 13,14 and 16, whilst his nearest competitors were struggling meant he could enjoy the walk up the final hole with a 4-shot lead, eventually holing out for par and a 4-under par round of 68 to seal a truly impressive victory.

The win at The Masters marks the 5th win of the year on Tour for Tour Flex Pro and the 14th win in 16 PGA Tour events in 2024. It was also another strong showing for players taking advantage of replaceable traction technology, with 81% of the field trusting Softspikes at the season’s first Major. In total, 31 of the top 34 finishers chose to wear spikes over a spikeless alternative.

Commenting on The Players Championship performance, Joe Henderson, President, Softspikes noted, “To have the World No.1 dominating on The PGA Tour this season wearing Tour Flex Pro and to then go on and win a second Masters clearly shows that he’s got a real grip on the game right now. To also have 3 of the top 5 finishers wearing Tour Flex Pro and all the top 11 finishers wearing Softspikes highlights the benefits that replaceable traction delivers on the biggest stage in golf.”

Tour players change grips and traction regularly based on course conditions, but amateur golfers rarely think about the impact wearing spikes has on consistency and distance. To achieve optimal performance benefits, golfers should be switching up their spikes every 15 rounds.
