Women’s Golf Day has completed its largest global celebration to date, with thousands of women and girls participating in events across five continents during the organisation’s expanded week-long programme.
Running from May 26 to June 2, the 2026 edition saw golf facilities, governing bodies, resorts, brands and industry partners unite to deliver activities designed to introduce more women and girls to the game while strengthening existing golf communities.
What began as a single-day initiative in 2016 has evolved into a worldwide movement, with Women’s Golf Day now operating across an official week of activity that combines golf participation, networking, education and community engagement.
“Women’s Golf Day is no longer simply a day on the calendar,” said Elisa Gaudet, Founder of Women’s Golf Day. “It has become a global movement that unites people through golf, creating meaningful experiences in every corner of the world while highlighting the power of golf facilities and the industry working together for a single mission- more women and girls in golf.”
The 2026 celebrations highlighted the growing international reach of the initiative, with Brazil joining Women’s Golf Day for the first time. Supported by Women’s Golf Day Ambassador Adriana Marra and the Brazilian Golf Federation, the event attracted more than 100 participants through a combination of coaching, networking and social activities.
One of the flagship events once again took place in partnership with the PGA of America at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa in Texas. Participants were able to choose between playing The Swing short course or receiving coaching from PGA Professionals before attending networking sessions and discussions focused on the future growth of women in golf.

In Japan, partnerships with the Japan Golf Association and Accordia Golf helped continue the country’s strong growth in female participation, while events in the Czech Republic focused on introducing new golfers to the game and strengthening local women’s golf communities.
Spain’s La Cala Resort also hosted one of the programme’s largest celebrations, combining golf activities, hospitality and networking opportunities as part of its annual Women’s Golf Day event.
For the golf industry, Women’s Golf Day continues to demonstrate its value beyond participation. While the four-hour event format remains at the core of the initiative, many facilities now use the platform to host business networking events, leadership discussions, wellness experiences, charitable activities and community outreach programmes.
Since launching in 2016, Women’s Golf Day has expanded to more than 1,350 locations across 86 countries, making it one of the largest female-focused golf participation initiatives in the world.
As the 2026 celebrations conclude, organisers say attention will now turn towards further growth in emerging golf markets, expanding partnerships and continuing efforts to make the game more accessible and welcoming for women and girls worldwide.
Women’s Golf Day’s year-round activity programme continues to support participating facilities, governing bodies and industry partners through its digital platforms, promoting lessons, events, tournaments and participation opportunities long after the annual celebrations have ended.
