Mannings Heath Golf Club appoints New President

Ian Jaggard is appointed President of Mannings Heath Golf Club and Wine Estate. A dedicated member since 1996, he is a past captain of the club, and the current captain of the Sussex golf captains, representing the clubs in the county.

He said: “The club is in my blood and I am excited at the prospect of a new era in the club’s history. It has been the setting for many personal events; my late wife Susan and I renewed our marriage vows there in January 2009 and it was the venue in December 2015 for the celebration of her life. A memorial tree now stands by the 11th tee on the Waterfall course.”

General Manager Adam Streeter says: “We are grateful to Ian for taking on the role of President. His knowledge of and commitment to the club and its membership made him the ideal choice as an ambassador for the club and to provide guidance to our board and officers.”

The club is undergoing one of the biggest changes in its 100 year history as the new owners convert one of the two 18-hole courses, the Kingfisher, to 9 holes and plant a vineyard on the 500 acre estate, to create a ‘wine experience’ at the classically designed clubhouse, with wine tastings and fine food.
