Europe’s first permanent Zen Swing Stage is now installed in the PGA National Academy driving range at The Belfry, after moving floor specialists Zen became a PGA Partner in January.
Swing Stage, which is set to launch worldwide in May, is a digitally-controlled moving floor which recreates realistic fairway slopes indoors.
Zen has also installed an adjustable Green Stage for putting in The PGA National Training Academy in PING House, also at The Belfry.
The two Zen moving floors are in place to assist with The PGA Training Programme for coach education, but the Swing Stage is also available to The Belfry’s retail team for custom-fitting purposes.
“We’re stoked to have our moving floors at The Belfry” said Zen’s Managing Director, Andy Hiseman. “Our four-year partnership with The PGA will help its Members learn how to use moving floor technology to give better golf lessons, and The Belfry is such a great location to show off a new product.”
The compact 6 x 8ft Zen Swing Stage recreates ball-above-feet & ball-below-feet lies up to a 9% gradient, and uphill & downhill lies up to an even steeper 12%. Its larger relative the Zen Green Stage ranges from 12ft to 20ft in length, and its precise adjustability enables over 5 billion different putts to be hit even on the smallest model, on a Tour-quality organic putting surface developed exclusively for Zen.
“We feel that Swing Stage and Green Stage both bring a new dimension to custom-fitting, as well as to coaching” said Hiseman.
Zen now moves the floor for golfers in 18 countries around the world. Enquire at www.zengreenstage.com.
