Yonex launch the fast and forgiving EZONE ELITE 3.0

Yonex has launched the new EZONE ELITE 3.0 series of golf clubs. Inspired by Japanese graphite technology, the ELITE 3.0 clubs are designed to offer superior distance and forgiveness for mid-high handicap golfers.

The dedicated product team at Yonex HQ in Japan committed to over two years of in- depth research and development in order to produce the highest standard of club possible. Using high quality Yonex graphite materials in both club head and shaft, the ELITE 3.0 range combines new innovative technologies (see below) with exceptional standards of craftsmanship and manufacturing from Yonex staff in Japan.

Yonex have a heritage of building the clubhead, shaft and grip of a golf club can improve performance for the handicap golfer, and the ELITE 3.0 range is no different. Each driver, fairway, hybrid and iron in the range has been created with the optimal shaft weight, kick point and torque in every flex to produce maximum distance, forgiveness and feel. Yonex is widely considered as the global leader in graphite technology, with proven success in racquet sports such as badminton and tennis and continuous growth in our golfing departments across the globe.

1. DRIVER

A new, In-Core Groove Technology has been designed to improve the flex of the face, crown and sole of the golf club. This improved flex at impact reverts quickly back to the original structure to produce a greater force at impact. The force creates faster ball speeds, lower spin rates and maximum distance with the driver.

Updated OCTOFORCE Technology removes weight from the crown and upper face of the driver, lowering the centre-of-gravity to promote a high, forgiving launch and maximum carry for club golfers.

Vertical Polish on the driver face allows the golf ball to slide upwards on the face at impact, dramatically reducing the amount of sidespin that is created compared to a ‘traditional’ horizontally polished or milled clubface where the spin axis becomes tilted.

The men’s driver operates Yonex’s Quick Adjust System® for custom fitting and personalised playability.

2. FAIRWAYS & HYBRIDS

A new, In-Core Groove Technology has been designed to improve the flex of the face, crown and sole of the golf club. This improved flex at impact restores quickly back to the original structure to produce a greater force at impact. The force creates faster ball speeds, lower spin rates and maximum distance.

Updated OCTOFORCE Technology removes weight from the crown and upper face of the fairway woods and hybrids, lowering the centre-of-gravity to promote a high, forgiving launch and maximum carry for club golfers.

Diagonal Groove Design on the fairway woods and hybrids optimise the ball flight for each club and to promote accuracy. The fairway woods and hybrids have been designed with a slanted, diagonal groove that creates less sidespin and consistent backspin from all lies on the golf course for improved accuracy.

3. IRONS

A new, In-Core Groove Technology has been designed to improve the flex of the face and sole of the golf club. This improved flex at impact restores quickly back to the original structure to produce a greater force at impact. The force creates faster ball speeds, reduced spin rates and maximum distance.

Updated OCTOFORCE Technology removes weight from the crown and upper face of the irons, lowering the centre-of-gravity to promote a high, forgiving launch and maximum carry for club golfers.

A Double Undercut Cavity also helps shift the weight of the iron further back from the face, lowering the centre-of-gravity to promote a high, forgiving ball flight.

4. SHAFT

An EX-E03 Shaft has been designed specifically for the series, weighing just 55g in a regular flex driver shaft. The shaft is manufactured using layers of Yonex’s super- premium graphite that promotes faster transitions for increased clubhead speeds and an unrivalled repeatability during the swing and at impact for consistency.

Compared to its predecessor, the EX-E03 has been manufactured with a softer tip to increase clubhead speed and promote launch for the mid-high handicap golfer.

5. PUTTER

The putter has been designed in a traditional mallet shape and style to provide forgiveness and accuracy with off-centre strikes. The face of the putter is CNC Milled to produce a smooth forward roll on putts of all distances.
