Titleist enjoyed a dominant week across the professional and amateur game, with victories on the DP World Tour, PGA Tour and Ladies European Tour underlining the brand’s continued influence at the highest level.
At the Volvo China Open, Bernd Wiesberger claimed a three-shot victory after closing with a bogey-free 67 to finish 19-under-par. The Austrian’s win came in his first start with Titleist’s new GTS metals, having made the switch immediately following testing at the Titleist Performance Centre at Woburn.
Gaming a Titleist Pro V1 alongside the new GTS driver and fairway models, Wiesberger delivered a complete tee-to-green performance. He gained over 15 shots on the field, with more than half of that coming through his approach play, while also leading the field around the greens. He hit 82% of greens in regulation and topped the scrambling statistics, converting par saves at an 85% success rate.
On the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, brothers Matt Fitzpatrick and Alex Fitzpatrick secured a one-shot victory in the PGA TOUR’s two-man team event, both playing the Titleist Pro V1x.
The decisive moment came at the final hole, where Matt Fitzpatrick’s approach from a greenside bunker spun to within 14 inches, setting up a tap-in birdie to seal the win. The result continues a strong run of form for Matt Fitzpatrick, marking his second consecutive victory and third in his last four starts, moving him to No.1 in the FedExCup standings.
The event also highlighted Titleist’s overwhelming presence in the field, with all nine teams finishing inside the top nine positions playing a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball. In total, 76% of the field teed up a Titleist model, more than ten times the nearest competitor.
“There’s obviously so many different variables with a golf ball,” said Matt Fitzpatrick. “To be able to rely on the golf ball and know that it’s going to do what I want it to do – have a consistent flight, consistent spin with every shot that I hit – that’s so important.”
Titleist’s influence extended beyond the golf ball category, with the brand also the most played driver in the field. Notably, its new GTS range continues to gain traction, with more models in play than any competing driver brand despite being in its early introduction phase on tour.
Further success came on the Investec South African Women’s Open, where England’s Esme Hamilton secured her first Ladies European Tour title. Playing a Pro V1, Hamilton posted a 15-under-par total, with a strong closing stretch in challenging conditions proving decisive.
At amateur level, Jackson Koivun continued his remarkable run by winning the SEC Men’s Golf Championship for a third consecutive year. His record-breaking 19-under-par total and seven-shot victory further underline the consistency of Titleist performance across all levels of the game.
For retailers, the results reinforce the strength of Titleist’s product ecosystem, particularly the continued dominance of the Pro V1 franchise and the growing momentum behind its latest metalwood innovations. With validation across multiple tours and formats, the brand’s presence remains a key driver of consumer demand heading into the peak season.
