Sports Impact delivers media profiles at The PGA Show

Sports Impact, the leading Marketing & PR Agency operating mainly in the golf sector, was out in force at the 69th PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL., last week to deliver media exposure for clients exhibiting at the Orange County Convention Centre, as well as those it represents who were unable to attend the international golf industry’s flagship event.

Four members of the agency were able to introduce attending media to both Motocaddy, the world’s leading golf electric trolley company who were exhibiting at the PGA Show for the first time, and Duca del Cosma, the Italian fashion brand showcasing its latest range in Orlando for a fourth time.

They also lined up interviews with leading U.S. media for former Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley ahead of his starring role in the premiere of Golf’s Greatest Holes TV show on NBC’s Golf Pass network next month. The show features ‘bucket list’ holes across Ireland and it was revealed during a well-attended press conference staged by Tourism Ireland.

The agency met with visiting American and European journalists, plus clients including senior Wilson executives from Chicago, for a series of discussions about campaign opportunities for the rest of the year. It also attended an American Golf Merchandise forum that highlighted new product trends and sell-through innovations, as well as the Demo & Fitting Day event.

“Although footfall on the show floor and at the Demo event was down on previous years, the new-look Media Centre was still a busy place and we met many new contacts to boost our connections in the U.S. on behalf of many of our clients,” said Director Natalie Collard. “It proved to be the right call to go out to Orlando, as we were able to deliver coverage for the clients involved in the show and strengthen our relationships with influential media on both sides of the Atlantic,” she added.

Recent agency initiatives in the U.S. include a Winter Golf Gear giveaway competition package offered by Golf Digest to its large social media following featuring Motocaddy, Galvin Green, Arccos Golf and Duca del Cosma products.
