Paulton’s Golf Centre, situated in the heart of the New Forest, has appointed Michael Mulligan as its new Director of Golf.

Michael is returning home to the New Forest where he enjoyed a successful junior amateur playing career at Paulton’s sister venue, Bramshaw Golf Club.  He represented the County and was the Junior Captain at Bramshaw in the mid-1990s, where he also recorded his first hole-in-one playing the Forest Course at the age of 11.

After turning Professional and completing his training whilst still based at Bramshaw, Michael has held various positions at different golf clubs across the county, and is excited to combine that experience in his new role at Paulton’s as he explains, “I’ve held different roles across the golf club during my career so far, from membership management to Head Professional.  I’m relishing the opportunity to provide the best coaching, club fitting, and practice experience in the South and to support our members, so they get the most enjoyment from their membership both now and in the years to come.”

Michael continued: “At Paulton’s, we want to inspire the next generation of golfers and get more families interested in our sport. We’ve got big plans for the future on how to attract more people into the game using the range, academy course, and championship course as part of our plans.  The facilities here are second to none and are a huge part of what attracted me to Paulton’s. It’s a fantastic time to be joining the team.”

Managing Director Ben Blackburn said: “We’re delighted to welcome Michael to the team as our new Director of Golf. His passion for the game is clear to see, and we can’t wait to see what Michael has planned for his new role.”

Paulton’s will be hosting a number of events this Spring aimed at the Junior golfer and beginner golfers including the Hampshire Future Champions & Mini Champions on 21st April and Girls Golf Rocks, which is a half term golf camp for girls interested in taking up the sport.  For more information on these exciting opportunities visit
