NIPPON SHAFT WINS on PGA and Champions Tours

The winners of last weekend’s PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions tournaments both used N.S.PRO MODUS³ shafts in their winning clubs.

The 27-year-old former Illinois star (with N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid in his utility iron) paired with his friend from Alabama to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, where the two-man team shot a tournament record total 30-under par in fourball and alternate shot formats. It was the first PGA Tour win for both players. They shot 64-66-63-65—258 at TPC Louisiana in Avondale and earned $1.24 million each.

Meanwhile, the 51-year-old native Australian and former John Deere Classic champion won his first event on the Champions Tour on the fourth hole of a sudden death playoff at the Invited Celebrity Classic. He shot 66-65-70—201 in regulation at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving, Texas and earned $300,000. He played N.S.PRO MODUS³ PROTO in his irons and N.S.PRO MODUS³ Wedge.

“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winners of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and the Inspired Celebrity Classic,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “Nippon Shaft is focused on providing products of the utmost quality shafts to everyone who plays them from touring professionals to everyday golfers seeking to elevate their performance and enhance their enjoyment of the game.”
