Nippon shaft users win two more events

For the third consecutive week, golfers on two of the world’s major professional Tours posted victories using Nippon Shaft products, while Nippon Shaft players also finished T-2 and T-4 at the PGA Championship.

On the European Tour, the 34-year-old Englishman used N.S. PRO MODUS³ Tour 120 X flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges to win the English Championship by seven shots at the Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Hertfordshire, England. His 27-under par 257 total came with rounds of 66-62-64-65. For winning his fourth European Tour title he earned €156,825.

On the LPGA Tour, the 27-year-old Californian used Nippon Shaft’s popular N.S.PRO 950GH steel shafts in her irons and wedges to win the LPGA Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio for her second consecutive win. The champion finished at 15-under par, shooting 64-67-70-68—269 at the Highland Meadows GC. She earned $255,000 for her fifth LPGA Tour victory.

At the PGA Championship, Nippon Shaft players finished T-2 and T-4, playing brilliantly at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

“Nippon Shaft could not be prouder of how well players using our shafts have been performing on golf’s biggest stages,” said Hiro Fukuda, Sales and Marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are honoured that they have put their trust in our products just as all of our customers do.”

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the release of N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 120, the first in the MODUS³ series. With four models, MODUS³ shafts have been in the bags of more than 200 players on every major global Tour and have been used in more than 200 Tour victories worldwide.
