New SkyCaddies bag Editor’s Choice Awards

SkyCaddie’s two new GPS rangefinders for 2020 have both scooped awards recently, confirming the brand’s status as golf’s most-trusted GPS technology.

The new SkyCaddie SX400 handheld GPS rangefinder, the more compact cousin to the award-winning SX500, has been recognised with 2020 Editor’s Choice awards from both Today’s Golfer and Golf Monthly.

And the visually-stunning new SkyCaddie LX5 Smart Watch GPS rangefinder, which arrives in the UK this summer, also received a Golf Monthly Editor’s Choice award.

Both items are part of SkyCaddie’s next-generation SX/LX range, and were praised for their rich features, their bright and colourful HD graphics, their comprehensive pre-loaded golf course data and for the fact that – uniquely in the sport – their course maps are accurate as a result of SkyCaddie’s exhaustive on-foot mapping process.

“Awards are great and the whole SkyCaddie team across the world appreciates them”, said James Holmes, SkyCaddie General Manager UK & Europe. “The new SkyCaddies genuinely do move the rangefinder category forwards, and it’s good that they are being recognised as the best.

“We hope these awards will inspire golfers to make the switch to SkyCaddie GPS technology – which many have done since we launched our next-generation series of rangefinders with the SX500, in late 2018.

“The SX500, SX400 and LX5 thoroughly out-perform all other golf GPS devices in their respective categories as regards features, visual clarity, ease of use and – most importantly – accuracy. And looking beyond GPS they offer a colossal amount of information which you simply can’t get with a laser. This latter aspect has been clearly proven on Tour over the last 18 months.”

SkyCaddie is golf’s only GPS brand which creates and updates every UK golf course map on foot, recording thousands of points per course with sub-metre precision, with professional course mappers using survey-quality equipment. The resulting maps are accessible by SkyCaddie users only.
