Wilson offer ten complete package sets for newcomers to the game

Wilson, market leader in recreational golf clubs in packaged sets that include a stand bag, is promoting a range of ten Box Sets for 2020 to meet a growing demand for complete sets designed to help newcomers enjoy their early golfing experience.

Boasting more Major wins with its irons than any other manufacturer (62), Wilson offers those adults and juniors taking up or progressing in the game the widest variety of box set options on the market under its famous ProStaff branding.

“The latest ProStaff box sets for this season are the best ever assembled by Wilson and the look and performance compare favourably to more advanced sets of clubs,” said Lee Farrar, Head of Golf for Wilson in the UK & Ireland. “The range of choices available to men, women and juniors makes it possible for retailers to customise the sets to meet the needs of every golfer from the age of five onwards. This is one sector of the club market that is often overlooked, but can be a source of strong sales and margins,” he added.

The Wilson ProStaff SGI™ Complete Golf Set comes in five different options for men and women golfers – both right and left-handed options, standard and extra length, plus graphite shafts. Designed to support playability with strong lofts and low weighting, they consist of ten clubs: a driver and fairway wood; a Hybrid club; plus Irons: #6, 7, 8, 9, Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and Putter. There are also individual clubs, such as #4 and 5 irons, that can be added to this set.

The 460cc oversized Driver with power weighting technology, features a large sweet spot for improved performance on off-centre hits. It also comes in an off-set version. The graphite shaft tip of the fairway wood is reinforced to help play from fairways and rough, while the shallow face of the easy-to-hit Hybrid provides a high launch trajectory for longer, straighter shots. The powerful stainless steel irons feature a very low centre of gravity to help launch the ball more easily, plus a thin face for improved ball speed and greater distance. The Easy Launch™ Sand Wedge features a wide sole for better greenside control.  A popular heel/toe weighted Putter with a soft alignment grip provides superior feel and accuracy.

Each set of clubs is contained in a self-activating Wilson stand bag with seven-way padded dividers to keep the clubs protected. The durable and lightweight bag has a handle top, plenty of storage and an adjustable AirFlow™ double shoulder strap to ensure on-course comfort. The set also includes premium material head covers with flannel lining and soft, all-weather grips.

The ProStaff JGI Junior Complete Golf Set offers three size options for young players aged between 5-14, plus a left-hand version, a girls set and a special teen set.

Engineered to help juniors improve their ball-striking skills, it consists of an oversized Driver with weighting positioned very low to help launch the ball off the tee and achieve a better ball flight; an easy-to-hit Hybrid incorporating a large sweet spot for accurate shots from the fairway and rough; two game improvement Irons featuring large hittable faces that provide forgiveness for developing swing speeds; a heavy sole Wedge designed to prevent errant shots close to the green; and a heel/toe weighted Putter with an alignment aid to promote correct setup to the target.

Junior sets come with a lightweight carry bag that features adjustable padded straps, plenty of storage pockets and a self-activated stand.

Adult ProStaff SGI sets start at a RRP of £329, while junior sets begin at a RRP of £130. More details of Wilson Box Sets can be found at www.wilson.com
