A year after appointing highly experienced PIGUY GOLF CHALLENGE to distribute its golf products in France, Mizuno has extended its distribution agreement with the company into Italy
Founded in Osaka, Japan, in 1906, Mizuno has long held an enviable industry- and tour-wide reputation for crafting the very finest forged ‘players’ irons’ in the game at its exclusive facility in Hiroshima Japan, offering golfers the ultimate blend of looks, feel and workability.
Just over a year ago, Mizuno’s EMEA golf operation appointed highly experienced company PIGUY GOLF CHALLENGE to undertake the distribution of its products throughout France, Luxembourg, Monaco and French-speaking Belgium as it sought to capitalise on record total EMEA golf sales and sustained growth in custom sales by restructuring and strengthening its operation in France.
That appointment came after much careful thought and planning following a restructure of the former Mizuno European Golf Division into the EMEA Division in April 2016, with the new EMEA Division determining that a distribution model would be the best way to optimise sales in these important French-speaking markets. PIGUY GOLF CHALLENGE, founded in 1973 and with an established network of over 500 accounts, a successful B2B platform and a knowledgeable and experienced sales team, has proved the perfect partner for Mizuno as it has sought to strengthen its position in French-speaking Europe.
The success of this distribution agreement has encouraged Mizuno to expand PIGUY GOLF CHALLENGE’s sphere of European influence further, and from spring 2018, the company will now be taking care of the distribution of Mizuno’s golf products in Italy too.
“The appointment of PIGUY GOLF CHALLENGE last year has proved a highly successful one for the Mizuno brand,” said Rob Jackson, Head of Golf for Mizuno Golf EMEA. “We’re delighted to be extending our agreement with the company further for 2018 as we seek to rely on their expertise and long-established distribution networks to strengthen our position in Italy as the country gradually gears up towards an exciting Ryder Cup debut in 2022.”
