ECCO® GOLF ambassador, Lydia Ko, delivered an emphatic final round on Sunday at the Oak Valley Country Club, to claim a four-shot victory at the BMW Ladies Championship.

Ko, who has enjoyed a rich vein of form since returning to the winner’s circle on the LPGA Tour in 2021, fired a blistering seven-under-par 65 to finish 21-under-par for the tournament.

Ko’s 18th career title was especially poignant, as it was her first victory in her country of birth, South Korea, and just a couple of hours away from where she was born.

This week, Ko triumphed wearing her signature edition ECCO BIOM® G5; a special edition of the brand-new model that are styled with Silver Ferns and Hibiscus flowers, to represent her home country, New Zealand, and her country of birth, South Korea, respectively.

“I think it means a lot to win in Korea. It’s a place that I’m born and it makes it very special.” Commented Ko.

“I said more than ever I really want to win in Korea once before my career is done and to be able to do it, a few of my relatives are here and this is the first year since Covid that we’ve had fans, it means a lot. A win is special in its own way. This is one to cherish.” She added.

Jesper Thuen, responsible for sponsorship at ECCO GOLF, added: “It is fantastic to see Lydia prove once again that she is one of the world’s best. To see her triumph in such an emphatic fashion, at a tournament that means so much to her is great to see.

“We look forward to seeing her finish her year in style and as always to offering her our continued support.” added Thuen.

In addition to Lydia Ko, ECCO GOLF shoes are worn in competition around the world by Caroline Masson, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Niklas Norgaard Moller, Fred Couples, Erik van Rooyen, Doc Redman and Thomas Bjørn, among others. For further information about ECCO GOLF, please visit golf.ecco.com.
