Hanbury Manor wins two awards

Hanbury Manor, A Marriott Hotel & Country Club received two UK Hotel Awards for Best Regional Golf Resort and Best National Gold Resort from the International Hotel Awards sponsored by EY and Virgin Atlantic. Hanbury Manor competed against a number of hotels and resorts in the United Kingdom to receive this recognition. The finest hoteliers from the UK gathered at the glamorous Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Sunday, November 3rd to attend a glittering gala dinner and to hear the long-anticipated results of the International Hotel Awards.

Awards were given out for the UK’s most impressive hotels for a variety of categories and property types including Best Spa Hotel, Best Small Hotel, Best Sustainable Hotel and Best Resort Hotel. Awards were also given for hotel architecture, construction, interior design, marketing and website. Each winning company was announced as either a ‘Highly Commended’ or ‘5-Star’ winner and presented with special plaques during the awards ceremony. A highly experienced team of professionals who cover the whole range of hospitality disciplines judged entries prepared by the hotels and selected the winners. The Chairman of the Judging Panel is Sir David Michels, Retired CEO of Hilton Hotels.

The 5-Star winners were placed under further examination and just one from each category was named a regional UK winner. The regional winners, also known as ‘International Nominees,’ were judged against other nominees from Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Americas. At the close of the awards gala, just one International Nominee for each category received the ultimate accolade of being named the ‘World’s Best.’
