GOLF GENIUS CONTINUES AI TRAILBLAZING WITH NEW TM WORKSPACE ONE-STOP DASHBOARD FOR EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS

Golf Genius, the world’s leading provider of software for golf clubs, associations and tours, continued its record of trailblazing innovation by launching its new Tournament Management Workspace, which allows clubs, administrators and volunteers to deliver golf competitions in one flexible, convenient place.

Supported across eight languages, multiple times, dates and currencies, TM Workspace will be added directly onto the existing functionality of Golf Genius Tournament Management to significantly reduce friction and administrative tasks for golf tournament and competition organizers.

The software company, which includes the USGA, England Golf and the Japan Golf Association among its illustrious list of clients, is also adding a new generative AI-powered assistant which will give professionals more control over complex tasks when the pressure is at its greatest.

TM Workspace reduces administrative time by drastically reducing the number of clicks, tabs and steps taken to set up and deliver a golf competition or event. Golf clubs and associations deliver events tailored to their local regional practices, instantly localised in their preferred layout and language.

The system is already being trialled by a selection of clubs in Japan with some market-specific applications while the French Golf Federation (FFG) is using TM Workspace for its Team Matches.

Christophe Muniesa, FFG CEO,  said: “With our vast network of volunteers helping us deliver hundreds of club matches each year, we needed a digital solution that could simplify match management and unify our tournament operations. Working with Golf Genius to create the new TM Workspace has achieved this goal, providing federation staff and volunteers with an intuitive, localised experience to deliver our grassroots matches and national championships.”

Golf Genius will integrate its new intelligent AI Assistant directly into Golf Genius Tournament Management and the Golf Genius mobile app enabling staff to execute actions such as adjusting tee times, managing substitutes, analyzing handicaps, or resolving no-shows in seconds, dramatically reducing stress and administrative overhead during live events.

These two latest updates to Golf Genius’ world-leading stable of products continues the company’s storied record of leading the AI innovation race in golf tech.

“Our approach to AI has always been grounded in usefulness,” said Craig Higgs, Managing Director for Golf Genius – International. “We don’t build technology for novelty. We build it to remove friction, reduce stress, and help our customers operate at their best especially when it matters most.

“AI should feel like a trusted assistant, not a black box,” added Higgs. “Our goal is to give golf professionals everything they need to act faster, make better decisions, and deliver exceptional experiences for golfers.”

Golf Genius has been actively deploying AI-driven solutions for several years, focusing on practical applications that save time, reduce complexity, and improve outcomes for golf professionals and everyday golfers alike.

Rather than treating AI as a single feature or trend, the company has invested in multiple AI disciplines, including machine learning and generative AI to solve real operational challenges across its product portfolio.

Golfshot, a division of Golf Genius, broke new ground when it introduced AI across the entire golfing ecosystem with development of its consumer app.

By analyzing motion data captured from Apple Watch sensors, the system accurately distinguishes between full swings, practice swings, chips, and putts automatically tracking shot distances, lies, and performance metrics without manual input. This technology brought tour-level performance insights to millions of everyday golfers and laid the groundwork for future AI-driven innovation.

More recently, in 2025, Golf Genius applied AI to pro shop operations by introducing intelligent document processing that automatically extracts data from vendor shipment PDFs and converts it into structured inventory orders with Golf Genius Golf Shop. This capability eliminates hours of manual data entry for retail staff.

With more than 130 engineers and a global team that includes over 75 PGA Professionals, Golf Genius continues to invest heavily in AI as a core platform capability, not a bolt-on feature.

The company’s development philosophy emphasizes reliability, transparency, and real-world usability, ensuring that AI enhances professional judgment rather than replacing it.
