IMG today announced a partnership with Golf GameBook, an innovative free social live scoring platform that is at the heart of the fastest-growing golf community.
IMG will support Golf GameBook to provide a new form of digital and mobile sponsorship activation for existing and future clients. It will also look to enhance the golfing experience for players across all levels of the game – from amateur golf days to fan engagement with Tour Professionals through the app.
Golf GameBook was founded by PGA professionals with the goal of making golf more relevant, fun and welcoming to the whole golf community using modern technology, while at the same time respecting the traditions of the game.
The Golf GameBook app and online services provides all golfers, golf clubs and golf tournaments with a live scoring platform as well as offering a ‘tournament manager’ feature and instant social media interaction designed specifically for golfers.
The app is free to download on Apple’s App Store, Samsung Apps, Google Play and BlackBerry World, and has already achieved considerable success with over 600,000 worldwide downloads from 115 countries, with thousands of users recording their scores on a daily basis.
