De Vere Hotels & Resorts has formed a partnership agreement with Golf GameBook, and will stage the playoff of the BMW Road to Gleneagles 2014 at The Belfry. Amateur competitors take part in the The Belfry Playoff on 14 August, and the top performers will win a pair of hospitality tickets to the Ryder Cup matches, courtesy of BMW.
The partnership agreement aligns De Vere with Golf GameBook, a free mobile scorecard which allows golfers to record scores, track progress over time and interact with friends who are also using the app. The group will benefit from broader promotion around the event through Golf GameBook’s direct marketing platforms, and its relationship with BMW. To enter the BMW Road to Gleneagles golfers must download the Golf GameBook App, play a round with the app and score more than 30 points to be entered into a weekly prize-draw, which will run from now until the 8 June.
Keith Pickard, regional golf director for De Vere, commented, “De Vere, through The Belfry, has strong ties to the Ryder Cup, so we are delighted to be named as host for the BMW Road to Gleneagles grand final. Golf GameBook is one of golf’s most exciting golf apps, with a growing number of enthusiasts signing-up every day. We’re sure that the opportunity to qualify for The Belfry Playoff will ignite the imagination of many golfers and will be a great occasion.”
