Carus Green encourage winter golf

Carus Green golf club are encouraging golfers to utilise the winter months for training and improvement with some enticing coaching offers. The Burneside-based club, whose first-class facilities are lauded as some of the North-West’s finest, are running a series of sessions to aid development, before the start of next season.

The club is offering six lessons for just £25 for beginners, as part of the ‘Get into Golf’ initiative, run by Golf England; evening night classes starting in November comprising five sessions and a half-hour individual lesson with a PGA professional for more experienced golfers for just £50, and junior afternoon sessions on Sunday afternoons. These are just some of the opportunities that the club is promoting to help golfers maintain their form during the winter months.

“It’s very tempting to put away the clubs come October, but we’re running a series of training opportunities for both members and non-members this winter,” explains Director and PGA Professional, Lee Edwards. “The beauty of Carus is its indoor, top-of-the-range facilities which can be used all year round – whatever the weather.  So, we’re viewing the winter months as a great opportunity to improve and iron out the kinks in your game and set yourself up for the coming season! We are also hoping to inspire and encourage those who have always wanted to ‘give it a go’, the chance to sample the sport.”
