Callaway has announced the launch of the new Chrome Soft golf ball, taking a ball that completely redefined performance when it was first introduced in 2015 and elevating it to another level.
The new Chrome Soft builds on last year’s successful product and introduces the proprietary Dual SoftFast Core, which leads to fast ball speeds off the driver for exceptional distance. Callaway is the only golf ball company that has new Dual SoftFast Core technology.
In addition, the new 4-Piece construction provides low compression and soft feel while the Tour Urethane Cover delivers incredible spin control, meaning golfers can achieve even more shot control throughout the bag.
The ball offers fast speed off the driver and improved distance off the tee, a soft feel which compress the golf ball more efficiently, aiding longer, straighter ball flights and more spin from 100 yards and in.
“We have seen phenomenal growth in our European golf ball business with our European Market share increasing by 38 per cent since the introduction of Chrome Soft, and it’s great news for golfers that we have managed to make it even better,” said Neil Howie, President and Managing Director of Callaway Golf EMEA.
“We have reinvented what is possible in golf ball design and golfers no longer have to compromise between feel and distance. With the new Chrome Soft, they get both.”
Along with the new Chrome Soft, Callaway has also announced the launch of the Superhot 55 golf ball. This new ball is super long, super straight and has a low 55 compression. The proven HEX Aerodynamics promotes low drag and optimal lift for a strong ball flight, so golfers get more distance from tee-to-green. The soft mantle layer and cover system work to lower spin for reduced hooks and slices so shots fly straight.
