Zen partners with Golf Swing Rooms for Green Stage installations

Sheffield-based Zen Oracle, maker of the Zen Green Stage adjustable putting and full-swing platform, has partnered with Golf Swing Rooms to offer a customised Green Stage installation service for private customers in the UK and Ireland.

The partnership has been created to satisfy the fast-growing demand for the Green Stage from golfers who either wish to convert their existing interior spaces at home into golf swing rooms, or to create a new purpose-built studio in their garden for playing real-world golf at home.

Along with the partnership announcement, there is also a new commission offer whereby PGA professionals who recommend golfers for anything from a single Zen Green Stage to a full home installation can earn a share in the profits which result.

With the Green Stage highly visible on Sky Sports TV since it first appeared in the broadcaster’s innovative Open Zone during the 146th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in 2017, millions of golfers have become familiar with seeing superstar golfers and television presenters use the Zen Green Stage to give clinics on breaking putts and hitting shots off sloping lies.

Now in use at golf academies and golf clubs around the world, the accurately-adjustable Zen Green Stage’s ability to create representative practice environments is recognised by a growing number of instructors as the most fundamentally-important new technology for golf coaching since the invention of the launch monitor.

PGA Professional Freddy Valenti, Founder and CEO of Golf Swing Rooms and its associated business Golf Driving Bays – which caters for larger installations – said: “We are delighted to partner with Nick and his team at Zen Oracle. The Zen Green Stage has been needed in golf for a long time.

“Its ability to literally move the ground beneath your feet has a wow-factor which first attracts golfers onto it – but there’s an even bigger light bulb moment once people have tried it, and they realise how much better it makes golf practice of all kinds.

“Also, if you’re talking about entertainment, putting is no longer an anti-climax in a golf simulator now that the Green Stage has arrived. For the first time you can actually putt the ball in the hole, in a simulator, and with realistic breaks too. Putting is back in its rightful place as the money shot!”

Zen Oracle CEO Nick Middleton, inventor of the Zen Green Stage, said: “Our goal at Zen Oracle is to develop new technology which helps to safeguard the sport’s future, enhancing coaching, performance and participation in the digital age. The addition of Freddy’s team will accelerate these plans and enable more golfers to experience an enriching golf experience at home.

“Working with Golf Swing Rooms we can integrate the latest golf technology with the Zen Green Stage, including the new Trackman simulator, SAM PuttLab and Smart2Move force plates, and put them into an intelligently-built indoor environment. Together we aim to become a leading full-service home golf solutions provider, as we envisage major golf industry growth in this area over the next five years.

“The Green Stage brings something fundamentally new to the table, and it is right at the heart of a worldwide drive to create real-world golfing conditions indoors.”

Golf Swing Rooms will now work directly with private customers to design and build their home installations around the Zen Green Stage, which provides both realistic putting practice with breaks as subtle as 0.1° accurately reproduced, and as a base for full-swing golf when paired with a launch monitor and golf simulator software.

All Zen / Golf Swing Rooms installations will take into account factors such as available room size and ceiling height for indoor installations, and local planning regulations for purpose-built outdoor studios.

Well-known golf instructors such as Michael Breed in the USA and Tour putting coach Phil Kenyon have praised the Zen Green Stage for enabling golfers to experience real-world indoor golf simulation for real, for the first time.

“The Zen Green Stage is the final piece of the jigsaw at your golf academy”” said Phil Kenyon.

The current COVID-19 outbreak does not prevent golfers from having their new Zen Green Stage golf swing room fully designed and costed. “We do much of our site survey work remotely, working with the customer via video, photographs and overhead mapping” says Valenti, a PGA teaching professional for over twenty years who branched out into designing and installing golf swing rooms in 2012.

“The Zen Green Stage is available in a variety of sizes, and can be installed free-standing, recessed into the floor, or in a bespoke surround, so we can match a Green Stage to the space which you have available and design your new golf swing room around it” said Valenti.

“And if we are building a new structure in your garden we have even more flexibility to be creative, and will provide you with the perfect space for you and your friends to enjoy real golf on a Zen Green Stage in the comfort of your own home.”

“As the digital age progresses, golfers will expect their home golf experience to become more and more realistic” said Middleton. “By basing their home golf studio around a Zen Green Stage they are future-proofing it no matter what developments there are in the rest of the industry.”
