Xander Schauffele claims Genesis Scottish Open

Xander Schauffele continued his hot run of form after winning the Genesis Scottish Open on Sunday with a one-stroke victory.

Xander once again found himself heading into the final round with the 54-hole lead and once again the Olympic Gold Medalist held firm to capture another title.

With the Open Championship right around the corner, Xander goes into the 150th edition of the historic major full of confidence, having won the Travelers Championship, the JP McManus Pro-Am and now the Genesis Scottish Open, all within the last two weeks.

Speaking to the media after becoming a Rolex Series winner for the first time, Xander said: “It’s an incredible feeling, a big sense of relief. It was a very stressful day and this is very rewarding. It’s incredible, just look around, the fans pushed me along all day. This is the first of many co-sanctioned events and it’s an honour to win the first one.”

Xander’s bag included one of Callaway’s new JAWS Raw Wedges, 41 of which were in play during the tournament.
