Worldwide Golf Brands to lead Oscar Jacobson Golf’s international expansion

Leading golf distribution company, Worldwide Golf Brands (WWGB) has secured a 10-year agreement to launch Europe’s premium apparel brand, Oscar Jacobson Golf, in the USA, Canada and South America.

As well as securing the new deal for The Americas, WWGB has also been rewarded with an extension of their licence agreement on this side of the Atlantic, where the company has enjoyed unprecedented growth in the 18 months since the initial award of a 5 year license. Under the leadership of Graeme Stevens, Managing Director of WWGB, Oscar Jacobson Golf has seen its turnover double as it has become a regular sight in Pro-Shops and on Tour across Europe.

“Our team has created an incredible product line, which is supported by the level of service and care that a premium brand deserves,” explains Graeme.  “I am very proud of the endorsement Oscar Jacobson is giving our business and am excited to take the brand into the US market.  I have no doubt that American golfers will enjoy the traditional, European styling of the brand in the same way that golfers here do.”

Building on the relationship it has established with Golftech, owners of BIG MAX, WWGB has already taken its first steps to establishing a strong infrastructure in America by securing an HQ and distribution centre stateside. WWGB’s international expansion plans, along with its ambitious plans for its six core brands will play a significant role in the company’s business ambitions which aim to grow annual turnover to £25M across the next 5 years.
