Wilson Golf strengthens its UK Marketing team

Wilson Golf has strengthened its Marketing team based at Amer Sports’ UK Head Office in Frimley, Surrey with the appointment of Danie Ferry as Marketing Assistant.

Danielle takes up the position with immediate effect to support the brand’s retail and online partners, as well as assisting in brand campaigns, events and promotions. She will also provide social media support and maintain communication with brand ambassadors.

She joins Wilson Golf from Silvermere Golf & Leisure Club – Surrey’s premiere pay and play facility – where she held a Retail & Marketing Administrator position for the past two years. Her previous golf industry experience included a similar role at Parkstone Golf Club, while securing a BSc Hon. degree at the nearby University of Bournemouth.

“We’re delighted to welcome Danie on board, as she comes highly recommended from one of the country’s busiest retail stores and has a wealth of golfing expertise,” said Lee Farrar, Head of Golf at Wilson. “She’s a great addition to the team looking to raise the profile of our brand and its range of products designed to appeal to golfer of all abilities.”

An avid golfer, she has played at junior International level and for Surrey Ladies and Girls. “I’m very excited to be joining Wilson right now as the brand has a host of great products and a line-up of star Tour players who can only enhance its reputation,” said Danie.

The brand with more Major victories with its irons than any other (62), has had a strong start to the year following the launch of its D7 Forged irons to sit alongside the award-winning D7 range from last year. The brand also welcomed the Staff Model Utility Iron, Staff Model Wedges and DUO Soft+ and DUO Optix balls into the 2020 range.
