UA Golf land Spanish double on European Tours

Under Armour golf athletes claimed victory on both the European and Challenge Tours this weekend as Matthew Fitzpatrick and Julien Brun, won the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters and Empordà Challenge respectively.

Fitzpatrick bounced back from the disappointment of Europe’s Ryder Cup defeat at the hands of Team USA in the perfect manner by winning on his first start since Whistling Straits, signing for a flawless bogey-free Sunday round of 69 to claim a three shot victory over Min Woo Lee and Sebastian Soderberg at the notoriously difficult Real Club Valderrama.

The win takes the Englishman to seven career victories on the European tour, moves Fitzpatrick back up to 25th in the Official World Golf Ranking and into 5th place on the European Tour’s Race to Dubai.

On the Challenge Tour, Brun held off the challenge of Jonathan Thomson to win by one shot with a total of 18-under-par. The second victory of the season for the 29-year-old after winning the Open de Bretagne earlier in the season, Brun now sits in 3rd place in the Challenge Tours Road to Mallorca standings.

With only two events left on the Challenge Tour calendar for 2021, the Frenchman now finds himself in a strong position to earn himself a Tour Card for the 2022 European Tour season.

The number one brand in Men’s golf apparel for the UK market since 2016, Under Armour outfits each player from head to toe in it’s market leading innovations across both apparel and footwear categories. For the win, Fitzpatrick wore the new Bodega Stripe Playoff Polo 2.0 (£45), part of the brands FW21 apparel range and custom UA HOVR footwear.

Brun wore UA Charged Draw RST as he powered to victory. Built on the brands RST 2.0 traction system and energy-returning Charged Cushioning, the Charged Draw RST is a fully waterproof, performance shoe, perfect for the upcoming winter season and is available for just £90 RRP.

Under Armour’s FW21 apparel range is built around the global brand’s leading winter technologies in UA Storm and the new UA ColdGear Infrared 2.0 to help golfers Fight the Cold this winter season with a full range of new polos, midlayers, bottoms, insulated outerwear and accessories.
