Two new members for Golf Consultants Association

Richard Netherclift of Insignia Creative and Simon Wordsworth (pictured) of 59Club have joined the Golf Consultants Association (GCA). Netherclift has more than 20 years’ experience in design and marketing for both on and offline requirements. He recently helped the GCA develop its new website, which has produced a much more professional and user-friendly website, along with expertise in making the website more visible to potential customers.

Wordsworth is the CEO of 59Club, providing bespoke mystery shopper performance-measurement programmes for the golf, leisure and events industry. He has a wealth of experience, having worked in the sector for many years at one of the world’s most renowned golf and leisure resorts.

Established in 1999, the GCA has a successful record in providing assistance to the global golf community across a broad spectrum of services. It aims to assist golf course developers and those looking to build successful golf businesses by offering expert and impartial advice. It is an umbrella organisation for a number of golf business experts, each of whom has a track record in delivering outstanding value for golf clients around the world.

Golf course architect Howard Swan, chairman of the GCA, said: “Both Richard and Simon bring a tremendous amount of experience of golf business and will be important contributors to the association. It’s interesting that golf, despite still being perceived, in some quarters, as a staid sport, now has specialists in web design and service excellence – two areas which show perfectly how golf is throwing off its old labels.”
