STILL TESTING (CLIMATE) POSITIVE NINE MONTHS LATER

Owners of golf simulator software Awesome Golf, Great Detail, are nine months into their journey of reducing their impact on the planet and continue to be a Carbon Negative business. Together with Ecologi they have introduced a tree planting scheme and continue to stick to a programme that offsets the business’s future emissions.

Nine months down the line they have planted 7,426 trees and have offset 72.62 tonnes of Carbon, securing Carbon Neutral status. The collaborative work has also funded 14 environmental projects. From wind power projects in South Africa to preventing deforestation in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Great Detail, is helping to tackle the environmental crisis worldwide.

Owner Gavin Hamer said: “The environmental crisis around the world should be of deep concern to everyone across the globe, and more should be done to tackle the increasing problems were facing.

“The problems are not just here in the United Kingdom, but worldwide. There is so much work to be done to get the planet back on track. The worldwide projects that Ecologi support are a step in the right direction. We’re not experts in this field, so we’ll leave that to team at Ecologi who have spent years developing their projects.

“In the grand scheme of things the work we’re doing with Ecologi may be a drop in the ocean, but we’re proud of achieving Carbon Neutral status and we pledge to continue to support this great initiative,” he concluded.
