Premium British trolley manufacturer Stewart Golf has agreed an exclusive deal with the Netherlands’ largest golf retailer to stock its new R1 Push trolley. The deal will see the new British built R1 Push stocked exclusively in all seven Jumbo Golfwereld superstores as well as the jumbogolfwereld.nl website. Jumbo will also be showcasing the new X9 Follow at demo days all over the country in 2015.
After announcing their new ‘direct to retail’ strategy last year, Stewart Golf has been in discussions with a number of the key European retailers. By working directly with retailers rather than via traditional distributors, the Euro RRP can be comparable to the Sterling price levelling the playing field for UK and European retailers.
Stewart Golf CEO Mark Stewart said, “This is the first of what I hope to be many deals with key European retailers. Jumbo Golfwereld has a network of high quality stores with coverage all over the Netherlands, so represent a perfect fit for us, It’s a vindication of our both our strategy and product range that a retailer of Jumbo Golfwereld’s calibre has come on board. It will take time to build relationships all over Europe but this is a long term strategy so we are prepared to be patient.”
