Seven BGL venues awarded medals in CEA Customer Experience Awards

Burhill Golf and Leisure (BGL) venues claimed a host of accolades at the inaugural CEA Customer Experience Awards, including winning the prestigious title of Best Golf Club Experience for 2018.

Launched this year, the annual TRP (The Retention People) CEA Customer Experience Awards recognise success within their client base of health and fitness club operators.

The CEA (Customer Engagement Academy) Customer Experience Awards benchmarks all users across the Net Promotor Score (NPS) metric over a period of 12 months, with a total of 820 sites eligible across 75 operators.

The awards recognise the best performing clubs in each sector while also providing ‘Medal’ status for high performers based on achieving outstanding NPS scores.

At an operator level, BGL, which owns and operates 10 golf venues across England, has been awarded a Silver Medal which represents tremendous levels of consistency in customer service across the entire portfolio.

BGL venue, The Shropshire Golf Centre in Telford, was awarded the title of Best Golf Club Experience for 2018 as well as being recognised as one of only 88 qualifying sites across all sectors to earn a Platinum Medal.

In addition to the performance of The Shropshire, BGL venues Wycombe Heights Golf Centre, Ramsdale Park Golf Centre and Birchwood Park Golf and Country Club achieved Gold Medals while Abbey Hill Golf Centre, Redbourn Golf Club and Hoebridge Golf Club were awarded with Silver Medals.

“Congratulations to all our venues who received an award designation, in particular, Stuart Perry and his team at The Shropshire who have seen their hard work rewarded,” commented BGL Operations Director, Guy Riggott.

“At BGL, we are committed to continually putting our customer experience as first priority, seeing it as the best way to ensure business growth.”

All sites who achieved a medal receive a window display sticker to showcase the achievement as well as graphics that can be used online and on social media. As winner of Best Golf Club Experience for 2018, The Shropshire also receives a certificate honouring its award.
