AFTER MOVE TO TITLEIST GOLF BALL, RSM CHAMP HAS BECOME TOP-20 APPROACH PLAYER

Since his switch to a Titleist golf ball early this season, the 2025 RSM Classic champion has become a top-20 approach player on the PGA TOUR:

While playing a competitor’s golf ball, he ended the 2024 PGA TOUR season at 112th (-0.036) in Strokes Gained: Approach. He played the same golf ball for his first three starts of 2025, ranking 160th (-0.700) during that stretch.

In his fourth start of ‘25 (Mexico Open), he made the switch to a Titleist golf ball for the first time, putting a Titleist Pro V1x+ prototype in play. That week marked the first of a career-best seven consecutive made cuts on the PGA TOUR.

During that stretch, he moved into the 2025 Pro V1x model at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, where he posted a final-round 62 to finish fourth.

Over the 23 events he gamed a Titleist golf ball in 2025, he totalled one win, four top-10’s and nine top-25 finishes.

His approach play now ranks among the TOUR’s best. With the RSM trophy in hand, he finished the season 18th in Strokes Gained: Approach (+0.516), jumping 94 spots in that statistic from 2024 (-0.036).

He jumped an even 100 spots in Greens in Regulation, going from 147th in 2024 (65.09%) to 47th this season (69.02%).

The RSM Champ also added five Titleist golf clubs to the bag this season. The same week he teed up a Titleist golf ball for the first time, he also switched from competitor’s models into four new Vokey SM10 wedges. In Houston, he switched from a competitor’s driver into a Titleist GT3.
