Royal & Awesome is On Course supporter

Clothing brand Royal & Awesome is supporting the On Course Foundation to help injured service personnel and veterans after agreeing to support a nationwide charitable foundation in 2015. The company will provide apparel to the On Course Foundation – which supports the recovery of wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans through golf – for a series of training and fundraising events throughout 2015. The On Course Foundation aims to restore confidence, promoting physical and mental recovery, whilst working closely with each beneficiary to find employment opportunities within the golf industry.

Royal & Awesome – which works with a number of charitable organisations, including leading children’s medical research charity Sparks, the John Hartson Foundation, and Special Olympics – is to provide polo shirts for speakers and organisers at the charity’s training days and fundraisers, and for its Advanced PGA accredited teaching professionals at their skills events. It is also providing prizes for training and coaching days, and around 15 to 20 fundraising events throughout the year.

Royal & Awesome brand director Graeme Smeaton said, “The On Course Foundation does sterling work in providing support for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and in helping them to find employment within the golf industry. We think this is a great initiative and we are delighted to be able to make this small contribution to the great work carried out by founder John Simpson and his amazing team.”

On Course Foundation’s Head of Fundraising, John Dodds, added, “A number of our members already wear Royal & Awesome and are always proud to show it off. We’re very grateful to Graeme and the guys north of the border for kitting us out for our training days – and as uniforms go, it’s a little different than that which many of our members used to wear.” More at: www.royalandawesome.co.uk and www.oncoursefoundation.com
