PXG add Mini Gunboat to putter range

PXG have made a big impact over the last couple of years. Despite their high price points, we are seeing PXG clubs out and about around the UK. There are always golfers willing to spend more if they believe the clubs will improve their game, and PXG clubs are designed for forgiveness and distance control in a club with a classic profile. PXG have announced a new putter to their line which follows this philosophy.

The Gunboat has proved to be one of PXG’s most popular putter models. Like all PXG clubs, it is named after a Marines reference, in this case, the naval watercraft designed to carry one or more guns to bombard coastal targets. Despite its popularity, feedback from their tour players has lead to this new refined model. The Mini Gunboat provides the stability of a mallet-style putter with the versatility of a smaller profile. The milled-insert design utilizes the same billet-milled 304 stainless steel face, TPE core technology and perimeter weighting system as the Gunboat, producing consistent performance across the face and an incredibly soft feel.

The TPE core provides a better sound and feel, but also a consistent response across the entire face. The mass is distributed more efficiently, yielding a higher MOI, which helps the golfer maintain distance control even on miss-hit putts by reducing the amount of twisting on impact.
