PrideSports has launched four new types of tee in its Professional Tee System (PTS) tee series for 2014. The PTS Mini Tee has been configured to offer golfers the optimum tee height for hybrids using the PTS colour system and is available in 1½ inch length. Also now available is a new PTS ‘Titanium’ model made from wood, but featuring an ultra-durable, thicker shank for titanium-like strength, but with no difference in resistance through impact. The result is less breakage with fewer tees used in a round. The Titanium super-strength wooden tee is available in 2¾ and 3¼ inch lengths.
PrideSports says the new PTS Plastic Tees have been designed to offer exactly the same Tour-proven aesthetic as the original PTS, but made from an ABS material for golfers who prefer its durability. These new models utilise the PTS colour system and are available in standard shapes mirroring wooden counterparts. Lengths include 2¾ and 3¼ inches.
The company has also added to the line of PTS’s wooden tees with the Micro Tee. This innovation offers golfers a head that is 20 percent smaller than a traditional tee, significantly reducing friction at impact, resulting in cleaner contact for improved ball striking. Despite less material PrideSports says there is no compromise on balance or performance thanks to redesign of the tee-head. The Micro Tee is available in with PTS colour identification in 2¾ inch length.
