PowaKaddy ramps up Freeway production

PowaKaddy has increased production capacity at its Kent-based headquarters following successful sales of its Freeway range. The company states that year-on-year sales volume increased by 45 percent in 2014, which it ascribes to the improved performance and aesthetics of the FW3, FW5 and FW7 models. Responding to this trend has led to the addition of another assembly line at PowaKaddy’s Sittingbourne factory in order to meet demand.

Amanda Stelfox, manufacturing manager said, “We were blown away by the popularity of the Freeway Series last year, which is testament to the quality of the product, both in terms of performance and its modern design. With enhancements to this popular line being made for 2015, we expected to see further growth this year, but pre-book figures among retailers so far have surpassed even our expectations. For this reason, we have taken the decision to install a third assembly line which increases our capacity by 50 percent to keep up with this demand.” More at: www.PowaKaddy.com
