Ping apparel gets Coolmax

Ping’s spring/summer 2016 apparel collection incorporates Coolmax All Season technology. This dual function fabric optimises the body’s natural thermoregulation capabilities through Hollow Fibre Technology, offering a solution for the varying conditions experienced during a golf round. The fabric contains fibre with a channelled surface to move moisture away from the body when the wearer is hot and fibre with a hollow core to provide insulation for added comfort on colder days.

The direction of the collection’s polo shirts is showcased by the Atlas Heather (pictured) and Radar Striped polo’s shirts, which combine the quick drying, natural feel, lightweight and breathable functionality of Coolmax All Season fabric with a tailored fit and attention to detail in the form of hidden, button down collars and detailed branded buttons. The Orion Rib Polo completes the Coolmax All Season polo shirt range and offers a soft touch, tailored fit garment featuring a tonal colour rib collar and cuffs.

Complementing the range of polo shirts is the technical performance Canyon Trouser. This garment utilises Coolmax fabric and benefits from permanent advanced moisture movement properties and a stretch comfort fit, along with crease resistant properties. The trouser will be available in two colours to complement the palette throughout the range.

Other flagship designs in the new collection are the Midas Half Zip and Sierra Sweaters, which combine Coolmax All Season fabric blended with the finest natural merino wool to create a high performing technical garment. Hollow Fibre Technology delivers excellent thermal and advanced moisture movement normally associated with technical fabrics, but retains the natural and breathable performance of merino wool. Contrasting texture shoulder panels, along with a tonal reverse zip and diagonal chest pocket, complete the design.

Andy Solheim, executive vice president said, “We are particularly excited about the introduction of Coolmax fabric technology into the 2016 apparel range, and believe it has enabled us to take garment engineering to the next level, while maintaining exceptional quality and refined visual appearance.”
