Ed Sandison, founder of sustainable golf brand OCEANTEE, has been awarded Bronze in the Individual Leader of the Year category at the 2023 Global Good Awards.  Recognised as a pioneer in his field, Ed’s passion to protect the ocean and the positive influence he brings to the golf world surprised and impressed the judges.  The award comes just two years after OCEANTEE became the first ever sports brand to win at these prestigious awards, taking the ‘Best Start Up’ category.

“I am incredibly flattered and honoured to be named in the Individual Leader category,” commented Ed. “The other finalists are all remarkable people who have driven sustainability forward in their respective arenas.  We continually strive to make positive changes, for our future generations and for the planet in general, but it’s not always an easy ride.  I’ve found myself inspired by the stories we’ve all heard at the awards today and am ready to carry on bringing new technologies and ideas to the world of golf.”

The Global Good Awards recognise and reward change. The judges uniquely evaluate a business’s success as well as its impact on the planet, the relevant industry sector, and the global community.  The judges made special mention of the impressive reach that OCEANTEE has made in its first few years under the guidance of Ed, as well as the future ambitions of the company.
