Nippon Shaft recorded a victory and two runner-up finishes recently on golf’s three major tours. On the PGA Tour, the runner-up used Nippon Shaft Pro Modus3 Tour Proto Ora X-flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges to tie for first place with one other player at 16-under par at the Travelers Championship in Connecticut, before losing in the play-off.

On the European Tour, the runner-up shot a 16-under par total at the Munich Open using Nippon Shaft’s Pro Modus3 Tour 120 steel shafts in both his irons and wedges. He made five birdies and an eagle in his final round to come within one stroke of a playoff.

Finally, at the LPGA’s Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, the winner used Pro 850GH steel shafts in her irons to shoot 15-under par for the 54-hole event for a 198 total. It was the ninth LPGA victory for the 2012 U.S. Women’s Open champion.

As always, we take tremendous pride in the fact that world class players have decided to use Nippon Shaft products when going into battle against the world’s toughest competition.”
