New Year, New PGA Show

The 2022 PGA Show, traditionally the largest annual gathering of the international golf business community, is evolving alongside the golf industry, and attendees will experience a renewed event as they come together, Jan. 25-28 in Orlando, Florida, for the first time in two years.

Leading the list of changes is the implementation of robust health and safety standards based on CDC guidelines, local public health guidance and host venue protocols to help support a responsible industry gathering and comfortable event experience. News and guidance regarding COVID-19 are being closely monitored and health and safety guidelines are updated regularly. The most up-to-date information about evolving health and safety protocols is posted to PGAShow.com.

The PGA of America and PGA Golf Exhibitions, partners in organizing the PGA Show, have used the last 24 months to reimagine aspects of the event and invest in new programming. While sourcing new innovative products and services from more than 600 participating brands remains at the forefront, PGA Professionals and industry executives also will be able to learn valuable business solutions unique to the current climate during industry presentations, education sessions, PGA Member workshops and networking events with industry leaders and peers from across the country.

“After two years apart, it is imperative for the industry to come back together and network, share business ideas and review new best practices to keep golf’s positive momentum going at every level,” said PGA of America President Jim Richerson. “There is an especially heightened value in collaboration and finding better ways of doing business, while taking the necessary precautions. The 2022 PGA Show will be a welcome reunion for our PGA membership, and we look forward to engaging with and supporting our PGA Partners and the hundreds of participating companies who are committed to helping PGA Professionals advance their business objectives.”

“PGA Professionals and buyers have expressed a pent-up demand for sourcing merchandise and services and miss the in-person experience with products and company leadership. There is a desire to return to peer networking and solutions-based programming to leverage the rising consumer interest and navigate the related challenges our industry faces,” says PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President Marc Simon. “The 2022 PGA Show will look different from previous events but will be a welcome return to connecting in-person with peers and industry leaders and can be a bridge to help our industry adapt and move forward in 2022 and beyond.”

A New PGA Show – Embracing Change with 2022 Event Enhancements

New Health & Safety Protocols

Health and safety protocols based on CDC guidelines, local public health guidance and host venue requirements will be in place to help support a responsible industry gathering and comfortable event experience. The Orange County Convention Center is GBAC certified and has implemented extensive health and sanitization standards that meet or exceed CDC recommendations. News and guidance regarding COVID-19 are closely monitored and health and safety guidelines are updated appropriately. The most up-to-date information about evolving health and safety protocols is posted to PGAShow.com.

New Clubfitting Education at the newly named PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day

The golf industry’s annual professional demo day has been renamed the PGA Show Demo & Fitting Day, returning to the massive circular range and practice facility of Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Florida, on Jan. 25. The event will again provide important product testing of the latest equipment and technology and will add new opportunities this year for PGA Professionals to learn from experts in coaching, clubfitting, fitness and range operations.

New Look & Feel on the Show Floor

The PGA Show will feature a reorganized Show floor design, a refresh of Show floor branding and signage and more than 600 participating brands. Some of the most recognizable names in golf join veteran manufacturers and companies new to the golf marketplace to create a dynamic Show floor with a multitude of in-person product experiential exhibits.

New PGA of America Hub – a PGA Member and Association pavilion

Attendees will enter the PGA Show floor to an all-new PGA of America Hub featuring a golf experiential activation, an industry presentation stage, a PGA Frisco preview, PGA coaching demonstrations, a PGA Professional Lounge and a “Make Golf Your Thing” information center. PGA Professionals will also have access to PGA Career Services personnel, League Golf and charitable initiatives and information on PGA Partner benefits.

Reimagined Equipment Test Center

The popular indoor driving range area will feature technology enhancements, and the practice putting green and short game areas will be relocated near the ETC to create a centralized indoor golf product testing and experiential space.

Relocated Fashion Lounge & New Night for Live Fashion Show

A more prominent location near the apparel section for the fashion buyer lounge and annual fashion show – which will take place on opening night this year – will allow for easier access to meetings and networking opportunities.

Reorganized Education Schedule, prioritizing time with exhibiting companies

The PGA Show Education Conference schedule now includes significantly less overlap with PGA Show hours and has added post-Show virtual education session access to allow PGA Professionals and golf buyers more time with exhibitors and their peers while attending the PGA Show.
