GolfBuddy has launched the compact LR4 laser rangefinder, a re-design of the company’s LR3 model. The new LR4 has improved ergonomics with a reshaped outer casing to fit more snugly in the golfer’s palm, making it comfortable to use. The top grip section has been flattened slightly and the finger locators redesigned to make it simpler to find and press the ‘power’ button.
The eyepiece is said to be easier to grip and smoother to turn and the battery compartment can now be opened easily with redesigned flip-and-twist flap. A white, blue and grey casing replaces the all black previous model. Weighing 218grams, other features include six-times magnification and auto shut-off after ten seconds.
The GolfBuddy LR4 is equipped with three operational modes: ‘scan’ provides a continuous ten second display of all objects located; ‘flag’ homes in on the pin and factors out background noise from trees and so on, to give precise readings; and ‘normal’ provides a single distance to any chosen target from flag to dogleg point or hazard edge. The GolfBuddy LR4 has a SRP of £219. More at: www.gpsgolfbuddy.eu
