National Golf Month 2016 needs you

In May 2016 National Golf Month (NGM2016) will return bigger and better with support from high-profile figures in the golf industry including Paul McGinley, Charley Hull and Mel Reid to ‘Get More People Golfing’.

NGM2016 aims to help arrest the decline in golfing participation in the UK and will specifically focus on introducing more women, juniors, families and men to the game. Every week of the month will be themed for each group to inspire them to try golf and enjoy all the fun the game can give them. This initiative is backed by BGIA and Grow Golf Trust but, for it to be really successful, it needs the help of golf professionals.

NGM2016 will ask over 100,000 people across the UK to try out golf, from free taster sessions, paid lessons, easy-to-find tee times and club open days. Players of all levels will be given the chance to book via our new website but they need somewhere to go to actually play. Golf professionals are being asked to upload what they can offer them, including free events, new player discounts, tailored coaching, tee times and open day events via this website

Once golf pros have logged into the website and uploaded their information they simply have to wait for the new and lapsed golfer to come to their facilities and then encourage them to come back. More media coverage than ever is being planned for next year, so make sure you capitalise on this great opportunity to help grow the game.
