MURRAYSHALL 2023 PRO-AM ANNOUNCED FOR SEPTEMBER

Murrayshall, the Country Estate and golf club near Perth, will host a Pro-am this Autumn
designed to attract top-quality players with attractive prize money and a challenging new
course set up as part of the 2023 Arnold Clark PGA in Scotland Tartan Tour.

The Pro-am on Saturday 16th September will be played on the revitalised Championship
course – 6,100 yards, par 72 – which has seen a multi-million investment in upgraded
bunkers and drainage over recent years.

Among the leading professionals expected to compete are Paul O’Hara from North
Lanarkshire, who took first prize in the inaugural Murrayshall Pro-am last July, and former
Tour player and broadcaster Alan Tait.

Three Amateurs can join up with a PGA Professional to compete in 4-ball groups for £450,
which includes the round of golf, lunch and prize giving at the refurbished clubhouse.

Open to male and female players, Pro-am competitors will be welcomed by Head
Professionals Robin Smith and Nicola Melville, who joined the Murrayshall golf team earlier
this year after seven years with the PGA working on national and regional tournaments.

“Those returning to the Championship course having competed in the event last summer
will notice a number of big changes for the better and it should prove a challenge for all the
players to relish,” said Nicola. “We hope to attract even more Pro-am entries and it becomes one of the most popular events in the Tartan Tour calendar.”

Recently ranked 48 in the 2023 Top 100 Golf Resorts in GB & Ireland by Golf World,
Murrayshall is also set to stage an event on the new Faldo Elite Tour in June featuring
talented young players from around the world.

Murrayshall is offering golfers two rounds and one night B&B on the Stay & Play package on
a Sunday or Monday night at £125 per person based on two people sharing a twin room,
subject to availability.
