MIYU YAMASHITA WINS LPGA MAYBANK CHAMPIONSHIP

Srixon staff player Miyu Yamashita produced a stunning final-day charge to claim her second career LPGA title at the Maybank Championship, coming from eight shots back on Sunday to cap an already remarkable rookie season.

Following her maiden win earlier this summer at the AIG Women’s Open, the LPGA newcomer delivered another exceptional performance, firing a bogey-free seven-under-par final round to force a three-way play-off. On the first extra hole, Yamashita sealed victory in style, rolling in a 20-foot birdie putt while her rivals could only make par.

Yamashita’s trademark precision was evident all week. She hit 50 of 59 fairways with her Srixon ZXi Driver and found more than 77% of greens in regulation using a combination of ZXi7 and ZXi5 Irons, underlining the control and consistency that have defined her season.

“Miyu continues to impress with her poise and precision in big moments. Her ability to stay composed under pressure and execute at the highest level speaks volumes about her talent and the trust she has in her equipment.”
Michael Jolly, Director of Tour Operations, Srixon

The victory adds further shine to Yamashita’s breakout rookie campaign and cements her position as one of the brightest young talents on the LPGA Tour.
