MacGregor’s 5 Star Heritage matched by their 5 Star Performance

With 125 years in the golf business and a place in the winning bag at 59 Majors, MacGregor has an undisputed 5 Star heritage. While MacGregor has more recently had an eye on affordable quality, the brand is delighted with a run of impressive results in independent tests across the biggest media titles in golf, that underline its 5 Star performance.

In testing with Golf Monthly, the MacGregor VFOIL Driving Iron received 5 stars, with particular note being made of its impressive distance, forgiveness and value. Also weighing in with top marks was the VFOIL Wide Sole Sand Wedge which was praised for consistency, accuracy and confidence. Coming in just behind those two with the Golf Monthly testers was the DCT3000 package set that was highlighted for its exceptional value, impressive feel and great styling while picking up 4.8 stars out of 5.

And it’s not just Golf Monthly who have been impressed. In the U.K.’s most comprehensive club test with Today’s Golfer, the VFOIL wedge line came out with top marks of any wedge on test for accuracy across the testing period.  While in a run out for MacGregor’s entry level CG3000 package set, Golfmagic praised the value and quality on offer when naming it the Best Golf Beginners Set of 2022.

“Many golfers know MacGregor for its Major winning heritage, and that quality and performance is still on offer all through the range,” commented Steve Grant, Group Sales Manager for MacGregor. “We have never stopped making clubs that perform for golfers. All across our range from Drivers, fairways and wedges, through bags, trolleys and package sets, we have fantastic products at great prices, and I’m delighted that this is being recognised so consistently by the U.K. media.”
