Lynx Golf supports family charity

Lynx Golf’s support has helped to raise over £200,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities  –  the independent charity that provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families with children in hospital. Lynx played a significant role in the RMHC Leisure Classic golf event, staged recently at Real Club De Golf El Pratt in Barcelona, Spain.

Lynx donated silent auction prizes including sets of Lynx clubs, Twickenham rugby debenture tickets, Champions League tickets and a signed British Lions rugby shirt. And Lynx staff ran a long drive competition using the company’s Boom Boom drivers.

There are 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK providing free ‘home away from home’ accommodation to families who have children in hospital. They offer comfort, support and a safe environment, enabling families to stay together, free of charge,  while their children are receiving treatment.

Stephanie Zinser, Lynx Golf CFO commented, “It’s a fantastic charity and we were delighted to help.  Families with a sick child in long-term hospital care can incur pretty scary unexpected expenses, but by using a Ronald McDonald House these costs can be minimised. And having had two very sick babies in hospital years ago, I know from first-hand experience how tending a very poorly kid takes a huge toll on families and that the separation from the rest of the family is often the worst part.” Further details at: www.lynxgolf.co.uk
