Lowry Wins Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship using Srixon

Trusting the tour-validated performance of his Srixon and Cleveland Golf equipment, Shane Lowry kicked off 2019 with a wonderful wire-to-wire victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA after coming out on top in a trilling final-round battle with Richard Sterne.

The Irishman closed his final-round 71 with a crucial birdie to win by a single shot and secure his fourth European Tour title in his 214^th appearance and his best result since his victory at the 2015 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

“This win means everything to me,” Lowry said. “I didn’t know if I had it in me today, but I’m proud of the way I hung in there.”

This victory moves Lowry to top position in the 2019 Race to Dubai Rankings with 1,165 points.  And he could move as high as 40^th in the Official World Golf Rankings, up from 75^th.
