After posting Sunday’s best round,  Hyo Joo Kim (Pro V1x)  stuck her approach on the first playoff hole to 6 feet and rolled in the birdie putt to claim her seventh career LPGA title. Kim made nine birdies in regulation, carding a final round 8-under 64 to post the clubhouse lead (22 under) and force the all-Pro V1x playoff with third-round leader  Lilia Vu (Pro V1x).

4th-PLACE FINISHER MAKES CAREER-BEST 5th STRAIGHT CUT AFTER SWITCH TO TITLEIST GOLF BALL, VOKEY WEDGES; ADDS GT3 DRIVER IN HOUSTON

Earning his best finish in over a year on the PGA TOUR, the fourth-place finisher at the Texas Children’s Houston Open continued his improved play since making the switch to a Titleist golf ball and Vokey wedges earlier this season. This week in Houston, he also made the change from a competitive driver to a Titleist GT3.

In late February at the Mexico Open, he switched from a competitive golf ball and wedges into a  Titleist Pro V1x+ prototype and four Vokey Design SM10’s.

This week, he made the move into the  NEW 2025 Pro V1x model  and was in total control from start to finish. He gained a field-best +8.088 strokes on approach shots while also leading the field in Greens in Regulation at 83% (60 of 72). On Sunday, he hit 17 of 18 GIRs on his way to a bogey-free 8-under 62 that tied the course record at Memorial Park.

In his first week with his new  GT3 9.0 driver, he also gained over 1.5 strokes off the tee (+1.593/24th), having entered the week at 160th on TOUR in that category overall.

He has now made five consecutive cuts on the PGA TOUR since the Mexico Open, his longest streak to date. (Previous longest was three in a row.)

2019 U.S. OPEN CHAMP LEADS FIELD IN SG: PUTTING AFTER MOVING TO SCOTTY CAMERON PUTTER

The 2019 U.S. Open champion led the field in Strokes Gained: Putting in his first week gaming his new  Scotty Cameron Phantom 9 tour prototype putter, picking up +8.738 strokes for the week on his way to a T-2 finish. He also finished 1st in Putts per GIR (1.47).

The 40-year-old made a charge up the Sunday leaderboard, draining a 35-foot, 4-inch eagle putt on No. 16 to remain firmly in contention. A birdie on No. 18 (his seventh of the day) put the finishing touches on a course record-tying 8-under 62 that left him just one shot back of the champion.

He made the switch from a competitive putter to a Scotty Cameron in February at the Cognizant Classic, putting a  Phantom 11 tour prototype in play at PGA National. This week, he moved to the smaller Phantom 9 head shape with immediate success.

DP WORLD TOUR | Hero Indian Open

Eugenio Chacarra (Pro V1)  claimed his breakthrough DPWT title, earning a two-shot victory over a leaderboard that finished with just three players in red numbers.

Chacarra’s final round was highlighted by a run of five birdies between Nos. 6-14 at the exacting DLF G&CC, which saw him regain and extend the lead with which he started the final round. The Spaniard closed in 71, his third sub-par round of the week (70-70-73-71), to finish the week at 4 under. No other player in the field had more than two.

Chacarra was one of the 113 players to tee up a Titleist golf ball this week, 82 percent of the field. That total was more than 10 times the nearest competitor (11, 8%).

HERO INDIAN OPEN CHAMP GAMES VOKEY LOB WEDGE

The winner of the Hero Indian Open brought a Vokey Design SM10 60.08M lob wedge to the winner’s circle. For the week, there were 272 Titleist/Vokey Design pitching, gap, sand and lob wedges, accounting for more than half of all wedges in play (51%).
