GolfBuddy makes friends in Scotland

GolfBuddy has become the official golf GPS of Golf In Scotland – one of the most successful golf social media groups and amateur golf tours in the UK. With over 26,600 golfers subscribing to its Facebook platform, since its launch in 2012 Golf In Scotland has quickly grown to be the largest online community of Scottish golfers.

Its Golf in Scotland Series Events is a highly-successful amateur tour played on twelve Scottish golf courses between May and October, with a grand final event being held at Castle Stuart Golf Links. Over 360 golfers will take part this year. As part of its sponsorship agreement, GolfBuddy will use the Golf In Scotland Facebook platform to promote products and videos, supply prizes for the tour events, and receive on-course branding and hole sponsorship.

Golf In Scotland founder, Stevie Moir, said, “We have always aimed to work with the best brands in golf through our golf events and the Golf In Scotland platform. We are very excited to now be working with GolfBuddy, the best golf GPS brand in the marketplace, and we look forward to sharing all of the exciting products GolfBuddy has to offer with our audience.”

GolfBuddy head of global sales and marketing, John Ennis, said, “Golf In Scotland has tremendously strong engagement with golfers in the country and we’re delighted to support it. Social media is becoming an increasingly important route to market for GolfBuddy and with over 26,000 golfers regularly interacting with Golf In Scotland online, we feel this is an excellent opportunity to grow our presence north of the border.” More at:
